IT & Indirects Purchasing Manager Freelance

Our client

A recognized player in the French payment sector, our client is undergoing a structuring and transformation phase for its Purchasing department. In this context, they are looking for their future freelance Purchasing Manager for a period of 6 months.

The position

Reporting to the Management, you will build and manage the Purchasing function in close collaboration with the business departments. Your objective is to strengthen the control of contractual commitments, ensure the reliability of the supplier panel, and disseminate a true purchasing culture within the organization.

Your missions

• Define and deploy purchasing strategies, mainly for IT and indirect categories
• Analyze expenses and investment or service needs, then implement cost optimization levers by seeking synergies
• Manage end-to-end tenders: support in writing specifications, analyzing offers, evaluating suppliers, commercial and contractual negotiations
• Structure and manage supplier relationships (business reviews, operational/purchasing/supplier tripartite meetings)
• Monitor external service providers and manage associated risks: financial, operational, CSR, governance
• Conduct benchmarks, market intelligence, and sourcing
• Ensure the application of the purchasing policy and processes, which you will help define
• Support and challenge operational staff in their purchasing decisions and gain buy-in for the approach
• Propose levers for improving economic performance (cost structure, year-end rebates, commissions...)
• Raise awareness among teams about purchasing culture
