IT-P End Customer Inquiry Senior Cryptography & PKI Consultant – DORA & Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC)

Responsibilities

Development and further development of business and technical concepts as well as documentation in the field of cryptography

Analysis of regulatory and security technical requirements, especially DORA, BSI, and NIST, as well as derivation of concrete technical measures

Conducting target/actual analyses and identification and assessment of cryptographic vulnerabilities and gaps

Support in building and further developing a central certificate inventory

Analysis of existing certificates, certificate stores, and cryptographic properties

Conception and support of automated monitoring of cryptographic requirements

Development of suitable solution approaches for Post-Quantum Readiness and preparation for a future PQC migration

Support in preparing and accompanying internal and external audits, including the necessary proof of performance

Technical analysis, evaluation of suitable solutions and tools, and support of implementation

Close coordination and communication with business departments, IT operations, information security, architecture, providers, and other stakeholders

Requirements

Several years of sound practical experience in cryptography, information security, and/or IT security architectures

Very good knowledge of cryptographic methods as well as experience in their technical analysis and evaluation

Sound knowledge of PKI, certificates, and key management, ideally including certificate lifecycles and certificate management processes

Experience in analyzing cryptographic infrastructures and identifying technical security gaps

Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards, especially DORA, BAIT, ISO 27001, and BSI requirements

Experience in creating business and technical concepts as well as audit and auditor documentation

Experience in collaborating and coordinating with various business and IT stakeholders

Ideally, knowledge in the area of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and the preparation of cryptographic migration strategies

For a demanding project in a regulated environment, we are looking for an experienced Senior Consultant (m/f/d) with pronounced technical expertise in cryptography, PKI, certificate management, and IT security architectures.

The focus is on implementing regulatory requirements in the field of cryptography and establishing a central certificate inventory. The goal is to create transparency regarding deployed certificates, certificate stores, and their cryptographic properties.

Furthermore, cryptographic requirements are to be monitored automatically, and the future migration to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) is to be prepared from a business and technical perspective.

We particularly value sound, demonstrable practical experience in cryptography. We are looking for a personality who can not only assess cryptographic methods and infrastructures from a regulatory perspective but also analyze them technically and design suitable solutions.
