IT Project Manager / Business Analyst (Insurance)

Project overview

Hybrid contract role in Lisbon for a senior professional who combines Business Analysis and IT Project Management end-to-end within the insurance domain. The person will own the full lifecycle from requirements elicitation and scope challenge through delivery and closure, managing stakeholders up to executive level, running 3–4 small projects or one major initiative, and bridging business and IT delivery teams. Portuguese is essential and English is required (C1+), with strong executive communication, structured delivery, and the confidence to push back on senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end project management from requirements definition to delivery and closure
• Business analysis: engage business areas directly to elicit, document, and challenge requirements
• Manage 3–4 small projects simultaneously, or one major initiative — depending on seniority and fit

Requirements

• End-to-end IT project management (requirements to delivery/closure)
• Business analysis (requirements elicitation, documentation, challenge/validation)
• Insurance industry knowledge (ability to work at definition level and challenge assumptions)
• Stakeholder management including executive-level stakeholders
• Change management (scope control, change requests)
• Risk and issue management
• Executive communication and presentations (status reporting)
• Ability to bridge business stakeholders and IT delivery teams
• Strong organization and structured ways of working
• Ability to push back on senior stakeholders and manage scope
• Experience in large/multinational companies
• Fluent Portuguese
• Fluent English (C1 or higher)
