IT Project Manager – SAP UI Modernization / Project Stabilization

Project overview

For a client, we are looking for an experienced Senior IT Project Manager (m/f/d) to manage and stabilize an ongoing modernization project in the SAP environment. The focus is on migrating existing SAP Web Dynpro Java applications to SAPUI5.

Responsibilities

• Taking over operational project management and stabilization of the ongoing modernization project
• Coordination of internal and external project participants
• Tracking of open issues, decisions, and actions
• Identification of project risks, dependencies, and obstacles
• Active escalation management and driving necessary decisions
• Transparent communication with management, stakeholders, and development teams
• Ensuring project progress without micromanagement

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Senior IT Project Manager in complex software or transformation projects
• Proven experience in stabilizing challenging IT projects
• Good technical understanding of software architectures, interfaces, and modernization projects
• Ideally, knowledge of SAPUI5/Fiori and Web Dynpro Java
• Experience in stakeholder, risk, and escalation management
• Structured, independent, and reliable way of working
• Strong communication skills and a positive, solution-oriented personality
• Ability to understand technical decisions and recognize challenges early on
