IT Rollout Specialist / Service Technician (m/f/d) – Medical Environment

Project overview

For a large-scale rollout project for our client in the medical field (Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians), we are looking for reliable IT Rollout Specialists / Service Technicians (m/f/d).

Our client is carrying out a hardware rollout at 104 locations in the outpatient medical field (practices, treatment centers, clinics) within approximately 3 months. The project will be realized on-site in teams of two (4 teams in total). As the work takes place during regular practice operations (09:00–17:00), maintaining on-site operational capability and strict rollback capabilities in case of critical disruptions are of the highest priority.

Responsibilities

Professional and technical execution of rollout and modernization measures on IT workstations and network systems in the outpatient medical environment (practices, treatment and outpatient centers) with the goal of ensuring uninterrupted operation of the IT infrastructure and maintaining continuous on-site practice functionality.

Our Requirements

• Logistics preparation and transport: Independent handling, loading, and provision of pre-configured hardware components (workstation PCs, monitors, peripherals such as printers, firewalls) from the Ulm logistics site to the deployment locations in the Stuttgart and Bavaria regions.
• Dismantling and system exchange on-site: Professional removal of existing old equipment and physical installation, integration, and clean cabling of new workstation systems directly at the practice locations.
• Network integration and commissioning: Technical integration of systems into the local network infrastructure, commissioning of firewalls, and setup of secure VPN access for medical data traffic.
• Function testing and quality assurance: Performing technical function and communication tests to validate operational readiness during ongoing practice operations.
• Rollback management: Initiation and execution of technical rollback measures to the functional initial state in case of unforeseen system incompatibilities, in professional coordination with overall project management, to prevent operational interruptions.
• Documentation and return transport: Creation of structured status reports, complete logging of installation or rollback measures, and return transport of old systems to the logistics center.
• Solid practical experience in IT rollout, PC hardware, peripheral devices (e.g., printers, scanners), and Windows client systems.
• Sound basic knowledge of IP networks, routing, firewall commissioning, and VPN connections.
• Prior knowledge or experience in the medical IT environment (practice management systems, practice and clinic infrastructure) is advantageous.
• High willingness to travel within the deployment area (Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria) and a Class B driver's license.
• Confident communication skills in German (at least C2 / business fluent)
