Focus: Operation, maintenance, engineering, and secure further development of DMZ and Application Layer Gateway infrastructures.

Very good German skills (C1) in speaking and writing, as well as English skills (B1) for understanding technical terms and documentation.
Readiness for a security check is required. Remote work is only possible within Germany.

- Operation, maintenance, and further development of DMZ and Application Layer Gateway infrastructures.
- Handling of incidents, troubleshooting, and analysis of logs and security-relevant events.
- Planning and implementation of updates, patches, and configuration changes on systems from Cisco, Citrix, Skyhigh, Check Point, and Fortinet.
- Planning and implementation of network, VLAN, proxy, and IP configurations, as well as commissioning of hardware and virtual systems.
- Maintenance and optimization of firewall, proxy, and gateway rule sets, considering security requirements and the principle of least privilege.
- Implementation of changes within defined IT service and change management processes.
- Creation and maintenance of technical operational, system, and security documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with data protection, information security, and compliance requirements, as well as specified security standards.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the planning, conception, and operation of DMZ and network security architectures.
- Sound knowledge in the areas of network transitions, network architectures, network protocols, and SSL offloading, as well as experience with high-performance network infrastructures.
- Confident handling of the planning, creation, and analysis of network topologies and network designs.
- Experience in the planning, introduction, expansion, and optimization of IT system and network infrastructures.
- Experience in the creation and maintenance of technical concepts, guidelines, work instructions, and operational documentation.
- Sound practical experience with Application Layer Gateways, firewalls, and security appliances, especially in configuration, commissioning, decommissioning, and optimization.
- Knowledge of several common technologies and products, such as Cisco, Citrix, Check Point, Skyhigh, or Fortinet.
- Experience with change, incident, and operational processes, as well as structured and traceable technical documentation.
- Knowledge of common IT security standards and security requirements in the area of network and DMZ infrastructures.
