For our client in the greater Freiburg area, we are looking for an IT Server/Network Administrator.

Job Description

Profile

• Start: immediately
• Duration: until the end of December 2026 (with an option for extension)
• Location: Greater Freiburg area
• Workload: Full-time
• You will administer and support the server landscape in daily operations and assist with network technology.
• You will manage our Proxmox clusters and build a Proxmox test environment.
• You will migrate functions from legacy systems to modern virtual Debian servers.
• You will perform weekly patch management of our servers and ensure stable operation.
• You will cover for the network team during absences.
• You will support the commissioning and go-live of Fortinet components in our infrastructure.
• You will implement and administer ZVD/RADIUS solutions in our network.
• You will analyze and resolve faults in the server and network environment.
• You will document system changes and operating processes comprehensibly and in a structured manner.
• You will work closely with internal departments and support IT infrastructure projects.
• Completed training as a specialist in IT or a completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• Experience in server administration and network technology
• Know-how in virtualization environments
• Experience with monitoring (Checkmk) for in-house IT
• Knowledge of Linux (Debian or comparable)
• Diligence in documentation
• Experience with ISO 27001 is desirable
• A structured way of working and working with standards
• You are a team player and value communication at eye level
• German language skills at C1 level
