IT Sub-Project Manager / Product Owner (m/f/d) – ITSM

Your Area of Responsibility:

As part of the development of an IT Service Management platform, you will take responsibility as Product Owner and Sub-Project Manager (m/f/d) for steering a development team that develops processes in Deployment and Release Management.

You will combine agile working methods with classic project management, coordinate collaboration with other sub-projects, and keep an eye on deadlines, costs, and quality.

Your Activities:

Agile Team Management: You will manage the development team as Product Owner using Scrum events and a structured backlog.

Requirements Management: You will gather requirements, clarify them, and formulate epics, user stories, and the associated acceptance criteria.

Project Responsibility: You will ensure adherence to deadline, cost, and quality targets within your sub-project.

Project Coordination: You will support the overall project management in planning and reporting and coordinate dependencies, risks, and changes with other sub-projects.

Stakeholder Management: You will be responsible for coordination with relevant stakeholders, cost controlling, and the creation of project reports.

Continuous Improvement: You will optimize collaboration within the development team and drive measures for efficiency improvement.

The Profile You Are Looking For:

Qualification: Completed business administration degree or Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field. Alternatively, a comparable commercial or recognized IT vocational training with at least 10 years of additional professional experience.

Product Owner Experience: At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in the role of Product Owner.

ITSM Project Experience: At least 4 years of experience as a project employee in ITSM projects, especially in platform development or migrations, ideally for public clients.

Technical Knowledge: At least 3 years of proven ITSM knowledge in Deployment and Release Management.

Certifications: IPMA Level D or comparable, ITIL Foundation (ITIL V3 or higher), and Product Owner II or a comparable certification.

Tools: Experience with Jira or comparable applications, confident use of Microsoft Office, and knowledge of MS Project.

Language Skills: German at C1 level and English at B1 level.

Flexibility: Willingness to travel, averaging a maximum of 20% of working time.

Security Clearance: Willingness to undergo security screening according to SÜ2.
