Assignment Description

As a ServiceNow Technical Consultant, you will develop new catalog items for the Service Management Platform ServiceNow used within the Ministry of Defence. You will do this based on the functional description in the stories that you will pick up and realize independently. In addition, you will actively contribute to the technical adaptation and refinement of stories and the testing of the delivered catalog items. Where necessary, you will draw up or support test scenarios.

You will actively monitor the technical coherence of the different stories and functionalities and, where necessary, ask questions and identify deviations. You are able to explain and demonstrate the functionality you have realized during demos and reviews where necessary.

Background Assignment

Due to the increasing need for ServiceNow functionality within and outside the Ministry of Defence, the continuation of the ServiceNow DevOps team is necessary.

Reference Area: B.01 Application Development

This assignment is based on the European e-Competence Framework (e-CF). This is a European standard for describing IT competencies and the associated level of responsibility. The eCF profile indicates which competencies and at what level (e-1 to e-5) are expected from the candidate. We expect candidates to clearly demonstrate in their CV that they possess these competencies. This can be done by describing for each relevant assignment or position:

Candidate has at least 4 years of demonstrable work experience with the chosen eCF profile similar role.

Interprets the application design to develop a suitable application in accordance with customer needs. Adapts existing solutions by, for example, porting an application to another operating system. Codes, debugs, tests, and documents and communicates product development stages. Selects suitable technical options for development such as reuse, improvement, or reconfiguration of existing components. Optimizes efficiency, costs, and quality. Validates results with user representatives, integrates and commissions the overall solution.

Designs and/or codes to meet solution specifications. Ensures the building and implementation of ICT applications. Contributes to a low design. Writes code to ensure optimal efficiency, functionality, and user experience.

• Candidate preferably has at least knowledge of the following areas: CSDM, catalog management, request fulfillment.
