Java Developer for State Administration Applications, Schwerin and remote, from 2027

Project overview

We are preparing a bid for a framework agreement for Java development with a public IT service provider in Schwerin and are looking for experienced Java developers to be named in the bid.

What it's about

Further development and support of Java-based applications for state administration, focusing on school administration and e-government. New development, further development of in-house and third-party applications, error analysis and troubleshooting, quality assurance, work in an agile team of the client.

Technologies

Java EE and Spring Boot, Vaadin, REST and SOAP, relational databases, Kubernetes and Helm, Jenkins, Git, Jira, Maven.

Experience with authorities or applications in public administration, Vaadin, Scrum certificate (PSM or CSM), accessibility (BITV), experience with AI tools in development.

How the framework agreement works

Your application

Please briefly state your all-in hourly rate, the on-site component in Schwerin that is feasible for you, and how many years you have been developing in Java, along with your current CV. As we are submitting the bid on October 19, 2026, we look forward to your response by Sunday, October 18, 2026.

• Senior: at least 5 years of Java development in various projects, Junior: at least 3 years
• Experience with new development, further development of existing applications, troubleshooting, and functional and quality assurance
• Fluent German, spoken and written
• Willingness to work in Schwerin
• Duration up to 4 years, award expected end of November 2026, assignments earliest from January 2027.
• The client calls off services individually. Many calls last a few months, not the entire duration.
• On-site component: Planned value approx. 60% in Schwerin, determined per call-off and non-binding. Onboarding takes place on-site, weekly blocks are possible.
• No acceptance guarantee: Assignments only arise with a call-off. If a call-off doesn't suit you, we'll staff differently.
• For naming, we need a short written declaration from you. You are not bound to a specific assignment by this.
• The contracting partner is JAIDE GmbH, billing monthly according to effort, payment terms 30 days. The hourly rate is all-in, travel expenses and travel times are included.
