Project overview

Global Enterprise Partners is looking for an experienced Java/Kubernetes Developer for a leading Dutch organization. In this role, you will work on the development, implementation, and management of modern cloud-native applications based on a microservices architecture. You will be part of a multidisciplinary DevOps team and contribute to the further digitalization and modernization of the IT landscape.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Java development, container platforms like Kubernetes, and the design and realization of scalable microservices.

Function

As a Java/Kubernetes Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and implementation of business-critical applications. You will work closely with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and other developers to realize high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Developing Back End applications in Java.
• Designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Deploying and managing applications within Kubernetes clusters.
• Developing and maintaining REST APIs.
• Containerizing applications with Docker.
• Automating deployments using CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting applications in production.
• Applying DevOps principles and cloud-native best practices.
• Ensuring the security, performance, and availability of applications.
• Actively contributing to architecture and design decisions.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Java Developer.
• Demonstrable experience with:
• Java 11/17 or higher
• Spring Boot
• Microservices architectures
• Kubernetes
• Docker
• REST API development
• Git
• CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps)
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Good command of the Dutch and English languages.
