Java Software Architect (m/f/d) Remote

Project overview

For one of our major clients, we are currently looking for several individuals who meet the following requirements:

Responsibilities

• Conception and further development of complex software and system architectures in the government and enterprise environment
• Development of modern cloud, container, and microservice architectures
• Evaluation and documentation of existing and new architectures, using ArchiMate and arc42, among others
• Conception of Java-based applications, APIs, and interfaces
• Design of highly available, secure, and scalable IT architectures
• Consideration of IT security, network architectures, databases, and CI/CD within the overall architecture
• Collaboration with development, operations, and other technical stakeholders in classic and agile methodologies

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in software architecture and software design
• Very good knowledge of V-Modell XT and Scrum
• Sound experience with Docker, Kubernetes, as well as cloud architectures and IaaS/PaaS/SaaS
• Very good knowledge of microservices and/or SOA
• Sound experience with Java / Java EE / Jakarta EE and Spring
• Experience with REST/SOAP, API design, and integration architectures
• Good knowledge of network technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, SSL, HTTPS, and SFTP
• Experience with IT security, OWASP, and vulnerability analyses
• Sound knowledge of various relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, and Maven
• Sound knowledge of ArchiMate, ideally also arc42, UML, and Domain Driven Design
• Completed degree with an IT focus, training as an application developer (Fachinformatiker Anwendungsentwicklung), or demonstrable equivalent professional experience
• Willingness to commit according to the Verpflichtungsgesetz (Commitment Law) and to the data secrecy oath
• Additional knowledge in Kafka, RabbitMQ or JMS, API gateways, Identity & Access Management with OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT or SAML 2.0, as well as interface standards from the government sector such as XöV, FIM or AS4 are advantageous
