Journalist / Audio Author

Project overview

We are looking for a journalist / audio author for the locations Flensburg, Hamburg, Osnabrück, Pinneberg, Berlin, Ostfriesland.

Responsibilities

You thoroughly research societal, political, and economic topics and question common narrative patterns. You explain causes and connections, illuminate different perspectives, and show possible solutions. You develop lively audio stories with a listening duration of about 10 to 20 minutes from complex research. You communicate demanding content clearly, approachably, and at eye level, without unnecessary jargon or artificial dramatization. You make your research paths traceable, separate facts from opinions, and engage with questions and feedback from our community.

Requirements

Journalistic experience: You master in-depth research, source criticism, and fact-checking, and can fairly represent different positions. With your precise, lively writing style, you make complex topics understandable and develop exciting narrative structures. You want to truly understand societal contexts, question your own assumptions, and are open to new perspectives. Independent and reliable work is a matter of course for you, as is close collaboration with an editorial team. You are eager to rethink journalism and develop new digital narrative formats with us.

Initial experience with podcasts, radio features, or audio documentaries is welcome, but not a prerequisite.
