Junior Network Engineer – Cisco / Mobile Communications (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Operation and support of a Cisco-based aggregation platform for connecting mobile radio cells
• Configuration and commissioning of network elements and connection lines
• Execution of configurations and changes on Cisco routers via IT systems and defined workflows
• Support with maintenance, fault clearance, and repair of the network infrastructure
• Execution of software and hardware changes as well as regular system maintenance
• Analysis and resolution of technical faults as well as support in optimizing existing operational processes

Due to customer requirements, a project-related employment is assumed.

• Experience in the operation of mobile communications networks, network technologies, and corresponding solutions
• Knowledge of handling Cisco routers as well as their configuration and administration
• Experience with network infrastructures, maintenance, installation, and error analysis
• Basic understanding of IT operational processes and change management
• Independent, structured, and results-oriented way of working
• Resilience and strong communication skills
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
• Willingness for night work amounting to approx. 300 hours per year
