Designer / Lead Engineer

Project overview

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Senior Designer / Lead Engineer in the mechanical engineering field. The role serves as a technical interface between German and Turkish-speaking teams and specifically supports communication with Turkish colleagues in the project environment. We are seeking an experienced designer with in-depth knowledge of CATIA V5, who is confident in the area of jig and tool construction and has experience with the design of welded and milled parts. In addition to classic design, coordination with international project stakeholders is also part of the responsibilities.

The activity takes place entirely on-site in Rastede, with occasional business trips to Istanbul possible.

• Design and development of jigs and tools in a mechanical engineering environment
• Creation and adaptation of CAD models and technical drawings in CATIA V5
• Design of welded assemblies and milled parts
• Support in technical coordination between German and Turkish-speaking teams
• Collaboration with design, development, and manufacturing
• Maintenance and management of technical data in the client's proprietary Excel-based PLM system
• Technical documentation and change management
• Support in international coordination and projects
• Completed degree in mechanical engineering or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience as a Senior Designer
• In-depth experience in jig and tool construction
• Very good knowledge of CATIA V5
• Experience in the design of welded parts and milled parts
• German at native speaker level or comparable business fluent knowledge
• Very good Turkish language skills
• Experience in international or intercultural project environments
• Willingness for 100% on-site activity in Rastede
• English language skills
• Willingness to travel for occasional assignments in Istanbul
• Experience in collaborating with international development teams
