Kubernetes Specialist (DevOps)

Project overview

For our client in the security technology sector, we are looking for an experienced DevOps or Kubernetes specialist. They will be responsible for designing, building, and operating highly available, isolated (Air-Gap) cluster solutions. In addition to technical implementation, you will take on the role of Lead Engineer within the team.

• Conception and design of Kubernetes cluster solutions for clients in the security technology sector
• Setup and operation of cluster and container environments in high-security areas, especially Air-Gap operation and high availability
• Ensuring high standards in IT security and fault tolerance
• Setup and support of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and monitoring in close coordination with software development
• Technical leadership of the team as Lead Engineer and mentoring colleagues on cluster and container topics
• Responsibility for evaluation, introduction, and support of new platforms, tools, and technologies
• Coordination with team leads and product owners
• Collaboration with the editorial team on documenting product features
• At least 5 years of project experience in DevOps and with container and cluster solutions
• Very good knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies
• Experience with security concepts for applications in the cluster
• Experience with Air-Gap or offline environments and highly available setups
• Confident use of deployment and CI/CD tools, especially Ansible, ArgoCD, and Harbor
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and monitoring solutions
• Experience in design, configuration, and support of virtualization environments, preferably Proxmox and Hyper-V
• Source code management with Git
• Experience in technical team leadership or as a Lead Engineer
• Very good English skills
• German language skills at least at B2 level
• Basic knowledge of a programming language, preferably C# / .NET
• Experience in security-critical or regulated industries
• Technical education (HTL, FH, Uni), preferably in computer science or comparable
