Job description

We are looking for a lawyer specializing in ESG regulation and regulatory affairs within the aviation industry. This role involves becoming an expert in the increasingly complex sustainability legislation in Germany and Europe.

Project overview

We are looking for a lawyer (m/f) for the aviation industry specializing in ESG regulation and Regulatory Affairs. In this role, you will become an expert in the increasingly complex sustainability legislation in Germany and Europe.

Your responsibilities include continuous monitoring and analysis of current and upcoming ESG regulations such as the European Green Deal. You will conduct legal research, structure legal frameworks, and assess the impact of new laws on business processes. You will derive action requirements and support departments in interpreting and implementing ESG requirements.

Furthermore, you will contribute to the further development of internal ESG governance, processes, and standards. You will independently handle defined legal work packages in a project context and participate in cross-departmental implementation projects. Collaboration with associations, working groups, and internal and external partners is an important part of your work.

You have completed studies in law, business law, or a comparable degree with a legal focus. Experience in Regulatory Affairs, Sustainability/ESG, Compliance, or management consulting is desirable. You have sound knowledge of European environmental and business law as well as ESG regulation and can confidently use research tools. Your ability to analyze complex legal requirements using structured methods, as well as to create target-group-oriented analyses and reports, distinguishes you. Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, are required.

The workplace is located in Hamburg and will be hybrid.
