For a platform project in the public sector, we are looking for an experienced Lead Architect for a cloud-native infrastructure based on Kubernetes, Gardener, and IronCore (bare-metal automation). The role is 100% remote from Germany, starting from 10/12/2026, with a long-term perspective.

• Design and be responsible for the target architecture of a cloud-native IaaS platform with Gardener and IronCore
• Design container orchestration and multi-cluster management based on Kubernetes
• Automate bare-metal infrastructure and platform deployment
• Integrate OpenStack and CobaltCore into the platform landscape
• Standardize the software supply chain with the Open Component Model (OCM)
• Orchestrate platform services with Platform Mesh and Crossplane
• Build observability with OpenTelemetry
• Automate onboarding processes with Greenhouse
• Several years of experience as a Lead Architect or Lead Engineer for cloud and platform infrastructure
• Demonstrable practical experience with Kubernetes, Gardener, and IronCore
• Experience with bare-metal automation and multi-cluster platforms
• Availability of at least 50%, ideally 100%
• Professional experience at a senior level
• Open Component Model (OCM)
