Project overview

Role: Lead Engineer - Automotive IOC Ethernet

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead with strong expertise in Automotive Ethernet and In-Vehicle Communication (IOC) to lead the development, integration, and troubleshooting of automotive communication solutions.

The candidate will be responsible for Ethernet communication stack integration, protocol implementation, ECU-level communication, and end-to-end integration across automotive electronic control units (ECUs). The role requires a strong understanding of automotive networking protocols, embedded software development, and AUTOSAR communication architecture, including AUTOSAR Classic and/or Adaptive.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automotive Ethernet, TCP/IP, SOME/IP, network debugging, and embedded software integration, along with the ability to drive technical discussions and resolve complex issues.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, configure, and integrate automotive Ethernet communication solutions.

Implement and troubleshoot Ethernet-based communication between ECUs, domain controllers, and other in-vehicle systems.

Analyse network communication, connectivity, latency, packet loss, and performance issues.

Support Ethernet switch configuration, VLANs, multicast, and Quality of Service (QoS), as applicable

Develop, configure, and integrate Ethernet communication components in AUTOSAR-based automotive systems.

Work with AUTOSAR Classic and/or Adaptive communication architecture, depending on the target platform.

Integrate and troubleshoot communication protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SOME/IP, SOME/IP Service Discovery, and DoIP.

Collaborate with system architects, embedded software developers, hardware engineers, and validation teams.

Perform ECU-level and system-level integration, debugging, and defect resolution.

Conduct technical reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and software development processes.

Identify technical risks, integration dependencies, and potential bottlenecks.

Analyze Ethernet traffic and diagnose communication issues using Wireshark, Vector CANoe, or equivalent tools.

Perform root-cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions.

Maintain technical documentation, integration reports, and defect analysis records.

Contribute to software design documentation, interface specifications, technical reviews, and development guidelines.

Support HIL/SIL testing, vehicle-level integration, and production readiness activities.

Required Technical Skills

Mandatory hands-on experience with AUTOSAR Classic, Embedded C/C++, CAN/CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, UDS diagnostics (DID/DTC/RID), ARXML integration, unit testing, and MCU-level Flash/RAM debugging and optimization

Strong experience in CAN/CAN-FD, UDS diagnostics, including DID/DTC/RID

Experienced in ARXML integration/configuration, MCU memory/flash optimization

Strong experience in automotive embedded software development and in-vehicle communication.

Hands-on experience with Automotive Ethernet development, configuration, integration, or troubleshooting.

Good understanding of Ethernet fundamentals, TCP/IP, UDP, IP addressing, routing, and network communication.

Knowledge of automotive communication protocols, including SOME/IP and/or DoIP.

Working knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic and/or AUTOSAR Adaptive communication architecture.

Experience with ECU integration, embedded software debugging, and root-cause analysis.

Proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming and debugging.

Hands-on experience with Wireshark, Vector CANoe, or equivalent network analysis tools.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to independently resolve technical issues.

Experience leading technical activities and coordinating with cross-functional engineering teams
