We are currently looking for a Lead Security Consultant Development Environment (m/f/d) for one of our clients.

YOUR MISSION

At our client's site, work will be carried out in the development area of a sensitive application.

• Project location: Bonn
• Period: November 16, 2026 to December 31, 2026
• Work mix: 30 days remote / 4 days on-site
• Important: Remote work only possible within Germany
• Important: Project language is German
• Important: Willingness for SÜ2 according to § 9 SÜG (Classified/Sabotage Protection)
• Extension for 2027 possible

• Documenting the current development workflow together with the teams
• Evaluating the existing setup against the framework defined in the implementation concept
• Designing the target environment, including provisioning, access, environment separation, and test data supply
• Defining self-service pathways and their limitations
• Implementation in the pilot area
• Collecting and evaluating flow metrics
• Creating a roadmap for onboarding additional teams, including effort estimates per team and zone type
• Minimum 6 years of experience working on development platforms, internal developer environments with result responsibility, platform engineering, with a focus on Developer Experience, not as a secondary task
• Minimum 6 years of experience in documenting and evaluating established development workflows, including makeshift solutions
• Minimum 6 years of experience with standardized, reproducible development environments, including updating them without an internet connection
• Minimum 6 years of experience in provisioning development and test environments
• Minimum 6 years of experience handling test data, including anonymization or synthetic data generation
• Minimum 6 years of experience in collecting and using flow metrics
• Minimum 6 years of experience working with development teams as a user group: requirements gathering
• Minimum 6 years of experience securing development workstations and source code access
• Minimum 6 years of experience with Dev Containers, Coder, Eclipse Che, Nix
• Minimum 6 years of experience with Backstage, Argo CD, Crossplane, Terraform
• Minimum 6 years of experience with GitLab, Forgejo/Gitea, Bitbucket Data Center
• Minimum 6 years of experience with PostgreSQL Anonymizer, Datanymizer, generator-based methods like Faker
• Minimum 6 years of experience with Prometheus, Grafana
• Experience building internal developer platforms in a public cloud environment
• Experience in creating introductory and training materials
• Experience with development work under constraints regarding data storage and functional separation
