Lead Security Consultant – Platform Engineering & Developer Experience

Responsibilities

Qualification:

Development Environments: Dev Containers, Coder, Eclipse Che, Nix

Platform Engineering: Backstage, Crossplane, Terraform

CI/CD & GitOps: Argo CD, GitLab, Gitea, Bitbucket

Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana

Test Data Management: PostgreSQL Anonymizer, Datanymizer, Faker

Framework Data:

• Analysis and evaluation of existing development environments, development processes, and technologies used
• Design and setup of standardized, reproducible development and testing environments
• Development and implementation of self-service solutions for automated provisioning of development resources
• Design and further development of internal developer platforms
• Ensuring the separation of development, test, and production environments
• Design of secure access mechanisms for development environments and source code
• Provision of development environments in isolated network zones without permanent internet connection
• Design and implementation of suitable test data provisioning, including anonymization and synthetic test data
• Collaboration with development teams to improve developer experience
• Definition and evaluation of relevant key figures for optimizing development processes
• Independent implementation and validation of developed solutions within a pilot environment
• Creation of a rollout concept for introducing platform solutions to further development teams
• 6-10 years of relevant project experience in Platform Engineering, Developer Experience, or comparable development platforms
• Demonstrable experience in the independent conception, architecture, and practical implementation of internal developer platforms
• Profound knowledge in setting up standardized and reproducible development environments
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automated provisioning of development and testing environments
• Practical experience with self-service platforms and developer portals
• Knowledge in securing development environments and source code access
• Experience with isolated network environments and offline infrastructures
• Experience in test data management as well as the separation of development, test, and production environments
• Practical knowledge in several of the following technologies or comparable solutions:
• Experience in collaborating with development teams and introducing new platform solutions
• Ideally, project experience in security-critical or regulated IT environments
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
• Residence in Germany
