Job description
The Lead Solution Architect will guide, connect, and direct solution architects in the realization of Dictu Souvereine Cloud (DSC). The focus is on organizing coherence, creating a shared architectural vision, and monitoring progress and quality.
Project overview
Assignment Description
The Lead Solution Architect will be tasked with providing substantive guidance, connection, and direction to the involved solution architects in the realization of DSC. The emphasis will be on organizing coherence, creating a shared architectural vision, and monitoring the progress and quality of architectural output. The Lead Solution Architect will ensure that the solution architects work from shared starting points, frameworks, and priorities, while allowing room for their own substantive responsibilities.
Overarching dependencies, risks, and technical dilemmas will be identified, actively signaled, and jointly resolved or decided upon. The Lead will stimulate collaboration between the solution architects and, further down the line, ensure connection with domain architects, engineering, security, operations, and the realization teams. This will ensure that individual architectural choices collectively lead to a coherent, achievable, and future-proof solution for DSC.
The Lead Solution Architect will also ensure that necessary architectural artifacts are delivered and approved on time, consistently, and with sufficient quality. Where frameworks, mandates, or decision-making are lacking, the Lead will ensure these issues are addressed at the appropriate level. The Lead will thus function as the substantive figurehead and primary point of contact for the solution architecture of DSC, without taking over the substantive responsibilities of the individual solution architects.
The result will be a well-functioning architecture team that supports the realization of DSC predictably and effectively from a shared direction and working method.
Background of the Assignment
The realization of Dictu Souvereine Cloud (DSC) as part of the Hybrid Multi Cloud (HMC) is part of the further development and modernization of DICTU's digital services. The increasing demands for scalability, security, continuity, and digital sovereignty require a future-proof and coherent technical provision. DSC affects multiple technical domains and existing provisions within DICTU, necessitating coherent choices and timely architectural steering.
With this assignment, we aim to achieve a clear, supported, and achievable architecture for DSC, which guides the realization and aligns with the broader DICTU landscape. Architectural choices, dependencies, and technical dilemmas must be made visible early on and, where necessary, brought to a decision. We want to explicitly connect architecture and engineering, so that design choices are not only future-proof but also technically feasible and manageable. The Lead Solution Architect plays a connecting and guiding role between the involved architecture, engineering, and realization disciplines.
The ultimate goal is for the realization teams to be able to realize and manage DSC predictably and controllably from a shared technical vision.

Additional Information
When you, as a supplier, offer a professional to us and they are placed, we will need information from you as a contracting party, including regarding the Chain Liability (Wet keten- en inlenersaansprakelijkheid - WKA). The 'WKA' aims to prevent abuse in the remittance of payroll taxes at all links in the chain; from supplier to client. We cover these risks for our clients through a blocked account, the G-account. This is an account to which a portion of the invoice amount is deposited and from which you can pay payroll taxes and VAT to the Tax Authorities.
The percentage to be deposited depends on whether you have a SNA certification (NEN-4400-1 or NEN-4400-2) and whether your company is established in the Netherlands or abroad. You can apply for the G-account from the Tax Authorities. If you cannot obtain a G-account (and you can provide proof of this from the Tax Authorities), you also have the option to provide an accountants' report (assurance report regarding personnel lending) every quarter. In this report, a certified accountant (AA or RA) will issue a statement about the correctness, completeness, and timeliness of the remittances.
Please note, the costs for this report are at your own expense.
