Lead Test Strategy and Quality Management

Project overview

We, emagine GmbH, are looking for an experienced expert (m/f/d) for our Business Unit Insurance to strategically shape quality assurance within a complex IT transformation project, further develop test processes, and ensure their sustainable implementation in practice.

Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of a holistic test strategy for a complex transformation program
• Definition and establishment of test processes, test governance, and quality standards
• Control and coordination of integration, end-to-end, regression, and non-functional tests
• Ensuring testability and quality in a heterogeneous system landscape with legacy applications, interfaces, and modern platforms
• Collaboration with internal departments as well as external development and project teams
• Support in the introduction and further development of test automation, CI/CD, and quality engineering approaches
• Consulting project and program managers regarding quality and test management

Requirements

• Several years of experience in strategic and operational test management of complex IT transformation programs
• Demonstrable experience in building and implementing overarching test strategies
• Experience in replacing or modernizing core systems
• Sound knowledge of quality engineering, test automation, CI/CD, and DevOps
• Experience with complex integration landscapes and heterogeneous system environments
• Knowledge of integration, end-to-end, regression, and non-functional tests
• Quality assurance in heterogeneous landscapes with legacy systems, modern platforms, and APIs
• Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe
• Experience in managing external service providers and development partners
• Strong communication and moderation skills at management and expert level
• High level of initiative, assertiveness, and hands-on mentality
• Ideally, insurance experience or other regulated IT environments
