Linux Administrator with Scripting and Monitoring

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator for a full-time project at a location in Germany. You will be responsible for the operation, installation, and configuration of Linux systems, playing a key role in the IT infrastructure.

Your main tasks include analyzing and troubleshooting running systems, ensuring operational security through regular security patches, and installing third-party software. You will optimize system-relevant processes through scripting and automation tools, operating and configuring monitoring systems such as Prometheus and Grafana. Furthermore, you will be responsible for documenting and tracking processes.

For this position, you bring extensive knowledge in Linux and have practical experience with various scripting languages. You are familiar with Ansible, Grafana, and Prometheus, and understand high-availability architectures as well as network architectures. Additional qualifications in SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Docker, Podman, Git, and GitLab are advantageous. Good knowledge of IT networks, load balancing, and gateways complete your profile.

The project runs until the end of October 2027 with a start date in December 2026. The position is to be filled entirely on-site. A specific security clearance is required or must be obtained.
