Linux Expert | Ansible, SIEM & Security Automation

Project overview

For a long-term IT project in the public sector environment, we are looking for an experienced Linux Expert with a focus on security automation, vulnerability management, and the analysis of security-relevant events.

Project Services:

• Analysis of SIEM messages and log data, as well as creation of abstracted audit descriptions that specialist teams can use to check for possible false positives
• Development and evaluation of Ansible Playbooks for automated checking and mitigation of vulnerabilities in Linux and Windows server environments
• Consulting and provision of application-specific mitigation measures using Ansible for critical workloads and applications
• Analysis of technical security reports, CVEs, zero-day exploits, and proof-of-concepts, as well as rapid derivation of suitable initial measures
• Creation of reports and preparation of security-relevant findings for responsible parties, management, and information security

Requirements

Framework Data:

• In-depth practical knowledge in the administration of Linux systems, especially SLES, RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian, and Oracle Linux
• Sound experience with Ansible and the development and maintenance of Playbooks
• Experience in the analysis of SIEM messages, log data, and security-relevant vulnerabilities
• Secure administration and operation of operating systems and middleware components, as well as independent analysis of configuration and environment parameters
• Knowledge in the administration of web and application servers, especially IIS, Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, nginx, Elasticsearch, and Redis
• Experience in the administration of Windows server environments is desirable
