Seeking a Linux Platform Engineer to manage and support a Linux-based system environment for a semiconductor test platform, focusing on virtualization and hardware integration.
Project overview
Context:
+ Support and technical support of an existing Linux-based system environment for a semiconductor test platform
+ Operation and administration of a virtualization solution based on KVM/QEMU
+ Connection and passthrough of four hardware interface cards to four virtual machines (PCI passthrough)
+ Ensuring stable and efficient operation of the virtualized test environment for cost reduction and resource optimization
+ Technical support of the Linux systems and workstations connected to the SiConic test hardware
+ Integration of the existing solution into the standard product portfolio, including long-term technical support capability
+ Creation and adaptation of smaller scripts with Bash and Python
+ Technical support and communication with internal contacts and customers, primarily in English
Requirements
+ Sound experience with Linux systems, especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
+ Focus on virtualization and network technologies -> this concerns virtual machines and workspaces
+ Good knowledge of scripting, especially Python and Bash
+ Analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving skills
