Seeking a Linux Specialist with operational responsibility for an existing Linux enterprise environment, focusing on SUSE Linux systems, SUSE Manager, and containerization solutions.
Project overview
For one of our major clients, we are currently looking for support that meets the following requirements:
Responsibilities
- Taking over operational responsibility for an existing Linux enterprise environment
- Administration, operation, and further development of SUSE Linux systems
- Support and management of the Linux infrastructure using SUSE Manager (SUMA)
- Operation and support of containerization solutions
- Taking over the tasks of an IT Operations Manager (ITOM) for the Linux service
- Ensuring stable and reliable IT operations, taking ITIL processes into account
- Central point of contact for internal stakeholders and technical departments
- Close collaboration with IT architecture on strategic topics and technical further developments
Requirements

- Several years of experience in the administration and operation of SUSE Linux environments
- Very good knowledge of SUSE Manager (SUMA)
- Sound experience with containerization technologies
- Experience in IT Service Management and with ITIL processes
- Knowledge in enterprise IT operations and operational service responsibility
- Experience as a Linux Service Lead, IT Operations Manager, or in a comparable role
- Location: Bremen
- Duration: Immediate start
- 30.06.2027 + option for another 6 months
- Utilization: Full utilization
