Linux System Administrator/Specialist

Project overview

DICTU is looking for a senior Technical Administrator Red Hat Linux (RHCSA and Ansible) with extensive knowledge and experience at this level. The Confidential Information (VI) department handles the Technical Management of a highly secured platform where system applications run. The Technical Administrator is part of the Linux Facilities team and is responsible for managing the Linux VM platform. Additionally, the Technical Administrator will assist in the further development of the container platform, including automation using Ansible Automation Platform.

Besides daily management, we expect the Technical Administrator to implement innovations in the tooling we use, such as Zabbix, Elastic, Logstash, free-IPA, and Satellite. On-call duty (24/7) and regular work at the location (The Hague) are part of the job responsibilities.

Background of the assignment

The department handles the technical management of applications that affect all of us in the Netherlands, such as population registration and passports and ID cards. We pay a lot of attention to the security of this data by applying the latest techniques, as we do not want this data to be easily compromised.

Due to the many improvements and adjustments in privacy, more control over your personal data, making this data centrally and up-to-date available, and data minimization when issuing this data, the latest ICT standards are necessary to fulfill this ambition. Think of hybrid cloud solutions, container technology, API management, multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions, and all of this within a Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA). All of these are very important for keeping the Netherlands running.

The continuity, security, and confidentiality of the data are therefore absolute top priorities, making the work very challenging. Where your drive for innovation and up-to-date expertise is a requirement, and your creativity and curiosity will certainly come into their own.

DICTU is a supplier of infrastructure management and new construction services, among other things. Very high demands are placed on availability and security for the data center. The security requirements that apply go beyond departmental confidential.

Requirements

Assignment is not suitable for ZZP'ers (freelancers) due to DBA law.

Candidate is Red Hat RHCSA certified.

Candidate is certified in Ansible through EX371 or EX374 or EX457.

Candidate has more than 5 years of demonstrable knowledge of and experience with Ansible playbooks, substantiated with concrete projects and role description in CV or motivation.

Candidate has more than 3 years of demonstrable knowledge of and experience with AAP, substantiated with concrete projects and role description in CV or motivation.

Candidate has more than 3 years of demonstrable knowledge of and experience with GIT, substantiated with concrete projects and role description in CV or motivation.

Wishes

More than 3 years of demonstrable knowledge and experience within complex environments with a high security level, substantiated with concrete projects and role description in CV.

Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with Cloud infrastructure, substantiated with concrete projects and role description in CV or motivation.

Additional Information

When you, as a supplier, offer a professional to us and they are placed, we will need information from you as a contracting party, including regarding the Chain Liability Act (Wet keten- en inlenersaansprakelijkheid).

The 'WKA' aims to prevent abuse in the remittance of payroll taxes at all links in the chain; from supplier to client. We cover these risks for our clients through a blocked account, the G-account. This is an account to which a portion of the invoice amount is deposited and from which you can pay payroll taxes and VAT to the Tax Authorities. The percentage to be deposited depends on whether you have SNA certification (NEN-4400-1 or NEN-4400-2) and whether your company is located in the Netherlands or abroad. You can apply for the G-account from the Tax Authorities.

If you cannot obtain a G-account (and you can provide proof of this from the Tax Authorities), you also have the option to provide an accountant's statement (assurance report regarding personnel lending) every quarter. In this, a certified accountant (AA or RA) will issue a statement about the correctness, completeness, and timeliness of the remittances. Please note that the costs for this statement are at your own expense.
