Linux System Administrator for Virtualization Environment

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator to manage and provide technical support for an existing Linux-based system environment for a semiconductor test platform. You will be responsible for the operation and administration of a virtualization solution based on KVM/QEMU as well as for the connection and passthrough of hardware interface cards to virtual machines using PCI passthrough.

Your tasks include ensuring stable and efficient operation of the virtualized test environment for cost reduction and resource optimization. You will technically manage the Linux systems and workstations connected to the test hardware and support the integration of the existing solution into the standard product portfolio. Furthermore, you will create and adapt small scripts with Bash and Python and provide technical support for internal contacts and customers.

We expect in-depth experience with Linux systems, especially Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), with a focus on virtualization and network technologies. Good knowledge of scripting, especially in Python and Bash, is required. An analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving skills are essential. Communication is primarily in English.

The project has a duration of six months and offers the opportunity to work in a technically demanding environment and build long-term technical support capabilities.
