Logistics Planner JIT/JIS – Production/Plant Relocation Plastics Manufacturing Automotive

Project overview

For the relocation of a plastics manufacturing facility from an automotive supplier within the site in Germany, we are looking for two project-experienced logistics planners with a focus on Just-in-Time/Just-in-Sequence. The focus is on planning future material flows and supply processes, as well as ensuring logistical support for the relocation. The plastics manufacturing facility is to be integrated into the OEM's logistics structures, and demand-driven supply during the transition and ramp-up phase is to be ensured.

Responsibilities

Recording and evaluating existing material flows, warehouse structures, inventories, transport processes, and production supply processes.

Development of the target logistics concept for the OEM site with a focus on JIT/JIS supply, internal material flow, and demand-driven provision.

Planning of storage and staging areas, transport routes, supply cycles, and container and load carrier concepts, taking into account the requirements of plastics manufacturing.

Development of the transitional logistics plan, including inventory relocation, necessary supply buffers, and securing material supply during the production changeover.

Definition and coordination of call-off, disposition, and replenishment processes with production, purchasing, suppliers, transport service providers, and IT logistics.

Preparation and execution of logistics process checks, as well as support during ramp-up, analysis of supply deviations, and optimization of material flows.

Project Goal: Coordinated and practically tested logistics processes that ensure supply during the relocation and enable stable JIT integration at the target site.
