macOS Tester (QA Engineer)

Project overview

For an innovative software development project, we are looking for an experienced macOS tester who wants to comprehensively test and optimize a newly developed product.

Responsibilities

You will perform QA and software tests for macOS applications, including functional, regression, and compatibility tests. You will analyze macOS system components and security mechanisms such as Plists, sandbox containers, and TCC permissions. You will perform network and VPN tests with trace analysis, test backup, reset, and recovery scenarios, and create automated tests with Appium, command-line tools, AppleScript/JavaScript, and Xcode.

Collaboration with developers and agile teams, as well as consideration of MDM policies and iOS/Android compatibility, are part of your responsibilities.

Requirements

You have at least 5 years of experience as a macOS or iOS QA engineer/software tester. In-depth knowledge of macOS system architecture, security mechanisms, and VPN infrastructures is required. You are proficient in macOS command-line tools, Xcode analysis methods, and have good knowledge of test automation with Appium. Scripting skills in AppleScript/OSA and JavaScript are necessary. Confident use of network tools and macOS backup/reset is assumed.

Framework:

Full-time position (remote) with a one-time on-site appointment for onboarding and hardware pickup.
