Mainframe Developer (COBOL / JCL)
Join a long-term project for a leading Danish financial institution, where you will contribute to the maintenance and further development of mission-critical systems built on Mainframe technology and Java-based interface applications. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale enterprise solutions that support key business operations in a highly stable and professional environment.
Your Responsibilities
What We're Looking For
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions using Mainframe technologies, primarily COBOL and JCL
- Analyze business and technical requirements and implement new functionalities
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional and international teams to deliver reliable solutions
- Ensure application performance, stability, and quality standards are met
- Independently investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of existing systems
- Hands-on experience with Mainframe development
- Strong knowledge of COBOL and JCL
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical investigations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Good command of English for daily communication within an international team
