Job description
The role involves managing the execution of overhead line construction projects, covering all phases from preparation and planning to site execution and project completion. The focus is on ensuring adherence to schedule, cost, quality, and acceptance goals.
Project overview
- Project Preparation & Planning:
- Contribute and represent execution interests in all project phases
- Conduct route and bidder site visits
- Define/check access routes and work areas
- Create construction progress plans in QGIS
- Participate in procurement coordination
- Review material lists
- Create tenders and participate in the awarding process
- Plan, apply for, and coordinate switching operations
- Contract Management:
- Contract management, including enforcement of rights and obligations, billing, and claims management
- Construction Site Preparation:
- Organize all site-relevant roles
- Conduct site kick-offs and regular meetings
- Hand over all site-relevant documents to the construction contractor
- Define and hand over documents to be provided by the construction contractor and service providers, as well as coordinate QA and inspection processes
- Construction Execution:
- Coordinate all site activities in compliance with schedule, cost, quality, and acceptance goals
- Provide technical leadership for all execution-related tasks, including quality assurance and construction progress monitoring
- Regularly check compliance with specifications
- Fulfill client obligations
- Organize occupational health, safety, and environmental protection on the construction site
- Control compliance with legal and client requirements for occupational health, safety, and environmental protection
- On-site stakeholder management (owners, farmers, forestry, etc.)
- Identify and manage opportunities and risks
- Report on construction progress to project management
- Project Completion:
- Ensure final documentation by the construction contractor
Requirements
/ Overhead Line Technology: 60%
/ Project Management: 30%
/ Leadership: 10%
Overhead Line Technology:
/ Professional experience in overhead line construction in planning and execution > 5 years.
/ Completed technical degree, ideally in Civil Engineering, or a technical vocational training with extensive further education.
Project Management:
/ Professional experience in project management > 3 years.
/ Theoretical basis in project management, ideally proven by a certification in project management IPMA Level D or higher.
/ A working method characterized by structure & diligence.
Leadership:
/ Leadership experience in projects or line management > 3 years.
/ Strong communication and moderation skills.
/ Negotiation skills & assertiveness.
