Position

Currently, for our client in the insurance industry, we are looking for a candidate for the position of Manual System Tester.

Offered Remuneration

Salary: from 50 to 60 PLN net/hour, depending on experience and competencies.

You will be a good fit for this role if:

• You have a minimum of 3 years of commercial experience in testing IT systems, with a particular focus on web applications and integrated systems.
• You have practical experience in performing tests: functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, smoke, and acceptance tests at various stages of the SDLC.
• You have a very good understanding of API testing (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) and are proficient with tools like Postman, SoapUI (or equivalent) and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• You have a good knowledge of SQL, can verify data in a PostgreSQL database, and efficiently compare it between the user interface, API, and database.
• You have experience in the full defect lifecycle and are proficient with JIRA (registration, classification, status tracking) and Confluence for documentation.
• You possess analytical thinking skills – you efficiently verify requirements for consistency, testability, and edge cases.
• You are independent, accurate, communicative, and assertive in communicating quality risks and recommending the suspension of deployments in case of critical errors.
• You are ready to start cooperation ASAP and work remotely from Poland (with occasional visits to the office in Warsaw) using provided equipment, and are flexible enough to support deployments on selected Saturdays (approx. 6 Saturdays per year).

• Analysis of business and system requirements for testability and design of test strategies, plans, and scenarios.
• Performing functional tests of the user interface and API integration tests (REST, SOAP).
• Verifying data logic and consistency by executing queries to the PostgreSQL database and analyzing application and integration logs.
• Performing end-to-end, regression, smoke, and acceptance tests, as well as supporting performance and load testing.
• Preparing necessary test data, accounts, roles, and permissions, and testing authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Meticulously registering and documenting defects in JIRA (including reproduction steps, environment, logs) and performing retests.
• Close, daily cooperation with developers, analysts, business representatives, and deployment teams to ensure the highest system quality.

Nice to have

• Practical experience in test automation and its integration with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Holding an ISTQB Foundation Level certificate (or equivalent practical knowledge).
• Experience working in a corporate environment, developing extensive enterprise-class systems with a large number of integrations.
• Professional experience gained in the medical, financial, or insurance industry.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Architect tool, which will facilitate your analysis of system documentation and architectural diagrams.
• Additional knowledge of Oracle databases.
