Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Team Lead for a fixed-term position of 18 months at our Mannheim site. This role offers the opportunity to lead and further develop an operations team in a pharmaceutical production environment.

In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring GMP compliance and the technical condition of the production facilities. You will support your team in daily operations with hands-on involvement, including detailed planning, documentation, and quality assurance. As the central point of contact, you will coordinate employees and teams, make relevant decisions, and act as a coach for shift coordinators.

Your tasks include troubleshooting machine failures, optimizing weekly planning, and developing solutions to problems together with the team. You will foster a culture of mutual support, establish a coaching mindset, and constructively moderate conflicts. Transparent communication and close exchange with all stakeholders are central to your success.

You have a completed degree in natural sciences or engineering, or a relevant vocational training with further education (Master Craftsman or Technician). Leadership experience from the pharmaceutical sector or a related field is mandatory. You have 5-10 years of professional experience in a GMP production environment or at least 3-5 years in a comparable leadership position.

Expert knowledge in sterile production processes, aseptic techniques, and hygiene is essential. Experience with LEAN Management and continuous improvement processes completes your profile. You are willing to work in a shift system and bring openness, respect, and appreciation towards all employees.

The position is to be filled on-site in Mannheim.
