An international retailer with a significant market presence is looking for an experienced strategy consultant from the MBB environment for a demanding project to document and critically evaluate the company-wide operating model - both for external investor communication and for internal further development.

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a strategy consultant at a top-tier management consultancy (McKinsey, BCG, Bain)
• Proven experience in the retail sector
• Experience in due diligence projects (commercial or operational due diligence)
• Extensive experience in analyzing and documenting operating models
• Confident demeanor towards C-level and investors
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Fluent English, both written and spoken

• Analysis and structured documentation of the existing operating model along the central value chain
• Critical challenging of the current control logic and organizational structure
• Development of a compelling equity story that presents the success of the business model comprehensibly and in an investor-ready manner
• Preparation of analysis results for investor communication (board and investor decks)
• Identification of weaknesses and potential for improvement in the operating model
• Derivation of concrete, prioritized recommendations for action for optimization
• Conducting interviews with executives and specialist departments to gather information
• Close coordination with management and, if necessary, investor/PE representatives
• Creation of a final results report including management summary
