Job description
Seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in Fluid Dynamics to analyze new technologies, develop liquid handling solutions for IVD products, and conduct feasibility studies. The role involves designing and implementing test stands and requires strong analytical skills and hands-on experience.
Project overview
Mechanical Design Engineer - Expert in Fluid Dynamics
Reference: f3ca0808-5ec1-4356-a13e-55398cdb18d8
Responsibilities
- Concept assessment and parameter determination: You analyze and assess new technologies and test them. Using your fluidic and physical expertise, you define various parameter settings and verify them to achieve the pipetting performance for the specific application.
- Liquid handling solution development: You support the technical implementation of liquid handling solutions in the context of IVD product development. Using your fluidic and physical expertise and Computational Fluid Dynamics, you support the Design Engineers in developing components to optimize the design from a fluid technical perspective. You verify your simulations through experiments.
- Feasibility studies: You initiate, lead, and conduct feasibility studies in the area of liquid handling to meet technical requirements and minimize risks.
- Test stand development: You define the necessary test stands required for feasibility studies and parameter determination. In collaboration with the Mechanical and Electronics Design Engineers and Software Engineers, you commission the test stands and program the necessary software workflows.
