Mechanical Design Engineer

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to strengthen our development team at the Backnang site. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and design of complex RF and electronic devices using modern 3D-CAD systems.

Your tasks include the mechanical design and overall design of sophisticated products in close coordination with interdisciplinary teams. You will define technical interfaces, coordinate subtasks, and create manufacturing-ready documents and documentation. Furthermore, you will conduct technical discussions with customers, partners, and suppliers and support design reviews.

You will participate in the development of new technologies, optimize existing design processes, and integrate FEM calculations into the development process. Close collaboration with the areas of analysis, technology, production planning, and quality assurance is essential for project success.

For this position, you should have successfully completed a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field. You have very good knowledge of 3D design and applied design methodology, as well as practical experience with CAD and PLM systems. Knowledge of FEM simulations is required. Initial programming skills in Java and/or C are desirable.

Self-responsibility, flexibility, and quality awareness are important to you. You communicate confidently, enjoy working in teams, and are fluent in German and English, both written and spoken. The activity takes place on-site.
