Medior Data Quality Analyst [Azure Databricks]

Project overview

We are looking for a skilled Medior Data Quality Analyst for an interesting long-term project in the insurance sector for our TITANS freelancers team.

• the project focuses on data quality control, analysis of validation rules, and verification of business logic within the transformation of financial data systems
• the candidate's main task will be to analyze existing validation rules, data attribute values, functions, and calculations in the original financial system and verify the correctness of their implementation in the new data environment

Responsibilities

Project requirements

• execution of Data Quality activities within the project
• analysis of existing validation rules and business logic in the legacy financial system
• checking and verifying the correctness of data attributes and their values
• analysis and validation of data functions, calculations, and transformation rules
• comparison of data processing results between the original and the new system
• identification of differences between expected and actual results
• execution of LFD Validation Gap Analysis in the Local Financial Datastore (legacy) system
• identification of missing, incomplete, or incorrectly implemented validation rules
• support for EFR Validation Clean-up in the new Enhanced Finance Repository system
• analysis and removal of outdated, redundant, or inconsistent validations in cooperation with relevant teams
• collaboration on improving the GEMS Error Reporting Infrastructure
• identification and analysis of data and validation errors
• analysis of the causes of data inconsistencies and incorrect calculation results
• using SQL for data checking, analysis, and validation
• working with data and validation processes in the Azure Databricks environment
• using Python for data analysis, comparison of results, and preparation of validation checks
• collaboration on the design and execution of Data Quality checks
• preparation and execution of test scenarios according to project needs
• documenting validation rules, identified differences, and analysis results
• communication with business and technical teams when clarifying the meaning of validation rules
• collaboration with analysts, developers, and data specialists in improving the quality of financial data
• collaboration possible in a hybrid ON-SITE / REMOTE mode, of which at least 2
• 3 days per week on-site (Bratislava)
• the final remuneration depends on the candidate's experience and the course of the selection process
• min. 2-4 years of project experience in the area of Data Quality / Data Validation
• very good knowledge of SQL
• ability to independently analyze data and perform data checks using SQL
• practical experience with Microsoft Azure Databricks
• practical knowledge of Python
• experience with the analysis and verification of business logic and validation rules
• ability to understand the business context of data and the meaning of individual rules
• ability to analyze and validate data attribute values
• ability to verify the correctness of data calculations, functions, and transformation rules
• experience in identifying data inconsistencies and validation errors
• ability to analyze the causes of incorrect data results
• good analytical and logical thinking
• ability to independently document the results of data analyses and validations
• ability to collaborate with business and technical teams
• active knowledge of English spoken and written (min. B2-C1)
• communication with an international team
• active knowledge of Slovak language spoken and written (native)
• communication with the local team
