Project overview

As a full stack developer, you always keep the end-user central when developing applications. Based on the latest web technologies, you will realize a user-friendly solution. Your work environment is complex, and the technical challenges of your role therefore have great diversity. The focus is also continuously on improvement. You work at the intersection of front-end and back-end development. From the daily stand-up, sprint goals, and tickets, you divide the work with colleagues, each with their own expertise and area of focus. You pick up the work that has priority.

One sprint may focus more on development, the next perhaps on management and lifecycle management.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced full stack developer who feels at home working in a DevOps team and the agile way of working. You are quickly familiar with the subject matter, are eager to learn, and have an interest in a broad spectrum of technologies; from Angular to PostgreSQL/DB2 and OpenShift, from Springboot to Robot Framework/Python.

Background Assignment

Our focus is on developing both custom and generic web applications that are used organization-wide. Using the latest technologies, we build, test, maintain, and host these applications to continuously improve the services of the Tax Administration. We do this within the Generic Office and Supervision (GKT) department, specifically within the four Webdevelopment DevOps/Scrum teams. The culture within the department is characterized by a high degree of agility, collaboration, and results orientation. The work is innovative and challenging, with quality always being paramount.

• Front-end and back-end development
• Writing and managing SQL queries within DB2 databases

There is a minimum of 2 to 3 days of presence at the office, main location Walterbosch Complex (John F. Kennedylaan 8, 7314 PS Apeldoorn), required. The initial hiring period is until December 2026, with an option for extension.

Additional Information

When you, as a supplier, offer a professional to us and they are placed, we will need information from you as a contracting party, including regarding the Chain Liability Act (Wet keten- en inlenersaansprakelijkheid). The purpose of the 'WKA' is to prevent abuse in the remittance of payroll taxes at all links in the chain; from supplier to client. We cover these risks for our clients by means of a blocked account, the G-account. This is an account to which a portion of the invoice amount is deposited and from which you can pay payroll taxes and VAT to the Tax Administration.

The percentage to be deposited depends on whether you have an SNA certification (NEN-4400-1 or NEN-4400-2) and whether your company is located in the Netherlands or abroad. You can apply for the G-account from the Tax Administration. If you cannot obtain a G-account (and you can provide proof of this from the Tax Administration), you also have the option to provide an accountant's statement (assurance report regarding personnel lending) every quarter. In this, a certified accountant (AA or RA) will issue a statement about the correctness, completeness, and timeliness of the remittances.

• Relevant work experience, minimum 3-5 years
• Demonstrable HBO work and thinking level
• Experience with exposing APIs, writing SQL queries, and test automation based on Robot Framework (3 years)
• Experience with Angular (TypeScript/JavaScript), Springboot, Java EE/8+, familiarity with SQL databases, and of course Git (3-5 years)
• Is pragmatic, has a feel for the team's context, and aligns with the existing working methods and needs.
• Brings calm, overview, and structure to a dynamic environment with high workload and ambitious goals.
• Quickly becomes familiar with existing applications and can operate independently and proactively with minimal guidance.
• Actively and effectively transfers knowledge to team members, thereby increasing the team's independence and continuity.
