Porthos CO2 Transport and Storage C.V., using the Inhuurdesk platform of Havenbedrijf Rotterdam N.V., is looking for a Medior Project Manager.

Porthos is a project to transport CO2 from industry in the port of Rotterdam and store it in empty gas fields under the North Sea. The CO2 that Porthos transports and stores is captured by various companies. These companies supply their CO2 to a pipeline that runs through the Rotterdam port area.

Subsequently, the CO2 is pressurized in a compressor station. Then, the CO2 is transported via an offshore pipeline to a platform in the North Sea, approximately 20 km off the coast. From this platform, the CO2 is pumped into an empty gas field. The empty gas fields are located in a closed reservoir of porous sandstone, more than 3 km below the North Sea.

The expectation is that the project will be able to store approximately 2.5 million tons of CO2 per year from the second half of 2027. Within Porthos, multidisciplinary teams work from the various parent companies EBN, Havenbedrijf Rotterdam, and Gasunie.

• The candidate has demonstrable coordinating and functional managing/leading skills within a project organization
• The candidate is capable of both "hands-on" and proactively identifying problems and offering solutions, as well as making process improvements in the ongoing organization
• The candidate has demonstrable experience with verification and validation of requirements within a project environment
• The candidate has the VCA-VOL certificate or is willing to obtain it
• The candidate has strongly developed collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• You have a completed WO work and thinking level, for example in Business Administration or a technical education
• You have at least 3 years of experience in project management or project control in the energy sector, CC(U)S sector, or comparable, and thorough knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
