Our client in Hannover is looking for an experienced VBA Developer / MS-Office Developer (focus on Word & Document Automation) to join their project team as soon as possible.

Our client considers it important that existing document templates are reviewed and existing errors are corrected.

Optimization of existing document templates in the area of personnel development with the goal of ensuring a fully functional, error-free, and performance-optimized application tool through analysis and technical adjustment of the macro code.

• Conduct a technical error and vulnerability analysis of existing Word document templates in the specific context of personnel development.
• In-depth analysis and professional evaluation of the existing macro code regarding stability, efficiency, and compatibility.
• Technical error correction (Bug-Fixing): Identification of error sources and independent execution of necessary corrections in the code to ensure system stability.
• Configuration and UI Adjustment: Technical configuration and functional setup of buttons within the application to ensure correct process control.
• Iterative Further Development: Functional optimization and technical expansion of the macro code to increase performance and improve application security.
• Documentation: Creation of technical documentation of the adjustments made and the final code structure to ensure traceability.
• Focus VBA & Macros: The tasks (code audit, bug fixing, iterative expansion, and performance optimization) require profound knowledge of VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) and the object models of MS Word.
• Deep understanding of Word template structures (.dotx / .dotm), style sheets, building blocks, and document protection mechanisms is required.
• Quality Assurance: Auditing, structured error correction, and complete technical documentation correspond to the standard of classic software engineering processes.
• Pro-Active Work Approach: You can empathize with the processes, understand them, and implement improvements in practice. Bringing in your own ideas and suggestions for improvement is desired!
