Seeking a Microsoft SQL Server Specialist for a 100% remote, approximately 3-month project starting immediately. The role involves analyzing and optimizing a critical SQL Server database environment.

Responsibilities
- Analysis of an existing, business-critical Microsoft SQL Server database environment and identification of performance bottlenecks
- Optimization of SQL queries, indexes, database configurations, and query execution plans for sustainable improvement of database performance
- Evaluation of possible SQL Server upgrades as well as analysis of suitable archiving strategies and data cleansing options
- Development and practical implementation of sustainable optimization measures, including performance monitoring and documentation
Requirements
- Several years of project experience in the administration and performance optimization of Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Sound knowledge of T-SQL, Query Optimization, Execution Plans, Index Tuning, and SQL Server Performance Monitoring
- Experience in the analysis and optimization of grown, business-critical database environments as well as with SQL Server migrations and upgrades
- Knowledge of database architecture, archiving strategies, and data cleansing, as well as demonstrable experience in the practical implementation of sustainable database optimizations
