Project overview

Description

For a current Greenfield project, we are looking for an experienced Software Architect with a strong .NET background for the complete reconstruction of a modern cloud platform.

The focus is on the conception of a scalable, cloud-native software architecture based on .NET and AWS. You will accompany the project from the initial architectural decisions through technical implementation to the establishment of sustainable development standards.

As this is a Greenfield project, there is a high degree of creative freedom in architecture, technology selection, and development processes.

Project Framework

Responsibilities

Conception and setup of a new software architecture in a Greenfield environment

Definition of the technical target architecture based on .NET and AWS

Development and evaluation of architectural concepts for scalable and highly available applications

Definition of standards for backend development, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and deployment

Conception of modern microservice or modular architectures

Technical evaluation and selection of suitable technologies and frameworks

Development of Proofs of Concept and reference implementations

Support for development teams on complex technical issues

Conducting architecture reviews and code reviews

Definition of interfaces and integration concepts

Setup and further development of CI/CD processes

Consideration of security, performance, scalability, and maintainability

Close collaboration with development, DevOps, product, and technical decision-makers

What You Should Bring

You have several years of practical experience as a Software Architect or Lead Developer in the .NET environment and have already designed or technically managed complex software landscapes.

You have very good knowledge of C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core, as well as in-depth experience with AWS.

You have already built modern cloud architectures, microservices, or comparable distributed systems and are familiar with the associated challenges regarding scalability, availability, security, and operation.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and modern CI/CD processes should be present.

For this project, it is particularly important that you do not work exclusively conceptually. You should be able to technically validate architectural decisions, implement Proofs of Concept, and support developers hands-on with demanding questions.

Experience from Greenfield projects is particularly relevant, as central architectural and technology decisions still need to be made.
