Project overview
We are looking for an experienced Network and Systems Security Engineer for a long-term mission with our client in the banking/finance sector in the Paris region, to join an IT production team responsible for critical global network platforms: firewalls, load balancers, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, internet access, and VPN.
The position combines run and transformation. You will ensure platform stability and evolve their technical base, in coordination with infrastructure and application teams.
Your missions:

Profile sought
Degree in IT, networks, or security (Bac+4/5). You have solid experience in the operation and evolution of network and security platforms in a banking or critical environment. You are proficient with Checkpoint and Fortinet firewalls, load balancers, proxies, and DNS. You know how to automate with Ansible, Terraform, and Python. Fluent English is essential: the team is international. Rigor, service orientation, and teamwork are expected.

- Ensure production management: requests, incidents, and changes on network platforms.
- Monitor and correct vulnerabilities: patches, firmware, hardening.
- Evaluate, design, and introduce new technologies (next-generation firewalls, SD-WAN, API-driven load balancing), with POCs, pilots, and migration plans.
- Provide expertise to project teams: design reviews, troubleshooting, implementation support.
- Coordinate exchanges with vendors and supervise tests.
- Design and maintain the automation platform (Ansible, Terraform, Python) with CI/CD, versioning, and testing frameworks.
- Document, transfer knowledge, and apply operational standards.
