Network and Security Administrator for Firewall Systems

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Network and Security Administrator for the administration and operation of complex firewall and security infrastructures. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily management and optimization of enterprise firewall systems, including central management platforms and cloud-based security solutions.

Your tasks include the administration and troubleshooting of load balancer systems, the operation and further development of Web Application Firewalls, and the management of complex firewall landscapes via central management platforms. You will also be responsible for supporting remote access solutions, analyzing and resolving security and network disruptions, and implementing security policies and rule set optimizations.

Furthermore, you will support the automation of operational and administrative processes, perform performance and availability management creations, and document technical concepts and operational procedures.

We expect very good knowledge in the administration of enterprise firewall systems and their central management platforms. Sound experience with cloud-based security solutions and remote access technologies is required. Good knowledge of load balancer technologies, Web Application Firewalls, and network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, Routing) is necessary. Experience with automation and scripting (Python, REST APIs, Ansible) is advantageous.

Ideal candidates bring several years of experience in network and security administration, possess strong problem-solving skills, and can work independently.
