Nextcloud Specialist

Project overview

For an established Berlin-based project management company, we are looking for reliable freelance support with a clear focus on Nextcloud as soon as possible.

The goal of the assignment is to provide targeted operational relief to the internal IT manager with acute user questions, incidents, and ongoing data organization. The assignment is fully remote within a flexible hourly contingent of 10 to 20 hours per week.

• Incident & User Support: Quick and reliable processing of acute support cases related to Nextcloud (e.g., recovery of accidentally deleted files and folders, resolution of synchronization problems on the desktop client)
• Data & Permissions Management: Structuring and maintaining folder and sharing structures, as well as assigning and adjusting access rights
• Support for IT Organization: Relieving the internal IT specialist in day-to-day operations and handling routine and ad-hoc requests via support channels
• Prospectively / Optional: Support for interface topics (including connected AI search amberSearch) and prospective support in the ticket and project environment (Jira or planned migration to OpenProject)
• Demonstrable Nextcloud Practice: Sound experience in the administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of Nextcloud
• Troubleshooting Routine: Confident handling of file recovery, permissions management, and typical end-user sync errors
• Infrastructure Understanding: Solid background at the server level (Linux and/or Windows environments)
• Communication & Work Style: Independent working style, reliability regarding agreed response times, and confident communication in German and English (min. B2)
• Plus Points (not a must): Experience with OpenProject, Jira, or enterprise search tools (e.g., amberSearch)
• 100% Remote: Completely location-independent work without travel expenses
• High Flexibility: Ideal secondary or part-time mandate (10–20 hrs./week) with good predictability
• Long-Term Perspective: Initial time horizon of 6 to 12 months with an option to extend
• Partnership-Based Collaboration: Permanent internal contact person on the client side and short coordination paths via Randstad Professional
