OpenText VIM Consultant

Project overview

For one of our end clients in Hamburg, we are currently looking for a freelance OpenText VIM Consultant.

Responsibilities

• Consulting and implementation of enhancements in the area of Invoice Management (OpenText VIM)
• The contractor provides consulting and support services related to the continuous enhancement of the existing invoice management system based on the OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) software module. The services include in particular:
• Analysis of existing process flows and system configurations in the VIM environment
• Conception of optimization and enhancement measures
• Execution of customizing, parameterization, and technical adjustments within OpenText VIM
• Development in SAP backend (ABAP/ABAP OO) as well as implementation and adaptation of Fiori interfaces (SAPUI5, OData services)
• Consulting on the integration of new functions into the existing system architecture
• Execution of functional and integration tests in cooperation with the business departments
• Documentation of implemented enhancements according to internal specifications
• Error analysis and review of audit findings in the invoice management processes
• The contractor performs functional and technical analyses to identify and resolve errors within the invoice management processes. This includes in particular:
• Systematic investigation of reported errors and process disruptions in the OpenText VIM environment
• Evaluation and processing of audit findings related to invoice processing
• Derivation of necessary measures for correction and process improvement
• Implementation and/or support of measures in the system (incl. tests, documentation, and coordination with affected departments)
• Consulting on the follow-up and closure of open audit or revision points

• Several years of consulting and implementation experience in the OpenText VIM environment
• Several years of consulting experience in the SAP FI environment (S4HANA)
• Knowledge in SAP FI, SAP Business Workflow
• ABAP OO developments, cross-module custom developments, SAP Fiori, OData services, SAPUI5, optimization of ABAP programs (Clean Code)
• SAP Architecture
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
• Location: Berlin and remote
• Start: 26.10.2026
• Duration: until 31.01.2027
• Utilization: 2-3 days/week
• Remote share: 20%
• Language skills: German, English
