Job description
Optical Engineer needed to select, qualify, and verify optical transceivers, plan and conduct lab tests, and analyze results. Requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Communications Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
Profile
- Selection, qualification, and verification of optical transceivers
- Planning and execution of laboratory and component tests
- Testing of components based on manufacturer and internal specifications
- Analysis and evaluation of measurement and test results
- Documentation of test series and results
- Failure analysis in case of technical deviations
- Coordination with adjacent technical departments
- Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Communications Engineering, or comparable qualification
- Alternatively, further training as a state-certified technician with relevant professional experience
- Experience in the field of optical transmission technology is an advantage
- Knowledge in optical communications engineering is desirable
- Experience in testing and qualifying technical components is an advantage
- Analytical way of working and understanding of measurement and testing technology
