Project overview

The assignment involves mapping and structuring an existing OT landscape.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Mapping an existing OT landscape for the purpose of defining the on-call service
• Analyzing a historically grown OT environment with various technology generations, brands, and types
• Working based on available documentation, discussions with technical stakeholders and suppliers, and targeted technical verification
• Structuring the OT environment at the architectural level according to an existing layer model (Field, Control, Supervisory, Communication, Integration, Development & Configuration, and Access & Security Level)
• Identifying technical dependencies and risks and determining when additional specialist expertise is needed
• Extensive experience in OT contexts and with historically grown OT landscapes
• Skill in analyzing and organizing existing OT architectures
• Ability to correctly assess technical dependencies and risks in case of incidents
• Knowledge of ArchiMate to translate technical information into architectural diagrams
• Skill in working in environments with incomplete, outdated, or unreliable documentation
• Strong communication skills to gather and validate information from various technical stakeholders
• Specialization as an architect in at least one domain (networking, security, server infrastructure, application architecture, ERP, ECM, data warehouse, or BI), or a broader background as an enterprise architect
• Familiarity with modeling methods such as Archimate, Togaf, UML, and Sparx EA
• Understanding of business processes, along with a sense for project management aspects such as costs, timing, coordination, and planning
• Experience in the utility sector as a plus
